After considering all the economic/moral philosophies, I still found reconciling my beliefs with any of them difficult. So I took the liberty in creating a new “ism” that best described my philosophy. Ego-Utilitarianism is an objective economic and moral philosophy that believes the only virtue is “self”-interest. It defines morality itself in terms of “self”-interest. What is right is what is in your best “self”-interest and nothing more. This can be reduced to simple economic profit in terms of a very specific weighted cost benefit analysis pertaining to the individual (and independent of his mind). Please note the quotations around the word “self” as my idea of self is not restricted to ones physical body. My idea of “self” takes into account others because mutually beneficial acts can exist and relationships between people are often repeated transactions.
